Would Zombies have heightened senses or would they just be average/below average humans?
Also in the DOTD remake the cop says they come to the mall due to instincts, do youse think this has any plausibility at all? If anything my instincts would tell me to go home or work not a mall.
Would the zombies like to be solo hunters or pack hunters? What every zombie movie i seen tells me that they only care for themselves but also just so happen to be in one concentrated area.
In the book plague of the dead the zombies were more packs since (no spoilers) They do signal other zeds and even ambush them. i dont have the book with me so i dont remember how it went specifically.
99 percent of the zombie definitions say that they are mindless but would they really be so stupid as to go through say a spinning blade of death that they know they wont make it through? I dont think that they would feel it but they would know that this is hurting them. if that makes anysense...
I don't think their senses would become heightened, I just think they would rely on sounds more, everyone knows they have poor coordination and vision, right?
Also, they wouldbt hunt in packs, the concentration of zombies would be directly linked to the human population before the outbreak.
But the sound of an attack would probably draw more zeds.
I'm pretty sure that if there were zombies, they would all be less powerful than most humans. Even the most powerful zombies, like posthumous body-builders, won't be as tough as a healthy person.
As for hunting in packs... I'm sure they still have access to some of their old memories, and maybe they will want to hang out with zombies they knew back when they weren't dead?
Well the virus could make them use the muscles that we as living being don't know how to use/haven't learned to use. Just a theory.
okay speeking from a medical background, the eyes of a dead person are the 1st things to decay and rott, the tissue that forms mussle sould not heal as liveing peoples do on a dayly basis, cells would not have the ability to do meotiosus [splitting into 2] and there for the body would only last aprox 90 days,
zombies would have to rely on sound information that would be prossessed throught the impolses in the brain, witch may or may not last the 90 days given that nerve impulcess re eletrical baced,
the idea that zombies would be stronger then a liveing person is just retarted,
unless the zombie isnt clinicly dead
In reality a person coming back to life as a "true" zombie is nearly impossible. But you can have a virus that induces insanity, extreme agression, a lack of care for personal well being, a primal instict to hunt and kill, a blood thirstyness, and any other symptoms. With the being still alive, they'd be in a fair ammount of pain at first I'm guessing. But not dead unless you stop the heart of the brain. You know left for dead style.
so a virus, that seems more conseveable and realistic,
if a person is given a verry large addreninen shot they can "see red" and go bizzurck its not uncomon amoung people in the forces
It has to be a pretty heavy dose to do that though, correct?
well actuly in a war zone it has been knowen to happen naturaly bust because the stress, action and all the adrenalin ect.
it all depens on your tollerence to it, like me i wont be affected by a large dosege because im a adrennalen junkey.
in this case if a virus could trigger a responce like this there would be mass casualties and its unknowen how long the effects would last
Mass casualties as in???
the large dose renders a soilder so inraged he is unable to reccognise his allis and he goes bizurck
That's pretty hardcore
yea, usuly the people who sercome to this are those who are sensative to adrenalin,
so i sudgest ya grab a rope and a harnice a cuppl of carrabenas and a figure of 8 and climb down a fucking mountan
In order to get adrenalin?
no i was describing absailing, i sport that creats alot of adrenalen in the blood flow, the more often you have large ammounts of it in your blood flow the more resistence you build up
Goddam SPAMBOTS!!!!^^^^ This one posted all over the damn site...
What if I needed an escort...
I think you may have missed out on that by now. Besides, I thought Poseidon god of the sea knows no human desires...
But then wouldn't they just be Greek humans? How can a god be a human? I'm feeling a little creeped out by the dog face...
The poor dog is lonely.
Didn't know dogs looked creepy when lonely.
Oh yeah, that's when they're at their creepiest.
Great! I was gonna get one dog next week, but now I gotta get 2 so I don't have to worry about looking at the creepy ass face he's gonna have on when I get home...
I would get three or more, just to be sure.
get 15. Maybe they'll love you when no one else can...
15 sounds like a good plan.
Damn, I don't think I could do that. I mean I have the space, but not the patience. Or the proper poop scooping equipment. I'm also pretty sure I would be forced to eat dog food with them since its the only thing I'd be able to afford. I don't think my fiancee's diet will allow dog food, she can't count the calories or fat.
I almost always had 3 dogs growing up, just a thing my family did. Even with me not living there for the past 8-9 years things still havent changed. Currently they have 1 newfoundland mix, 1 border collie mix, and 1 purebreed newfoundland.
If I owned my own house I would probably own a dog, however with my current situation its not wise to buy a house, apartment I live at right now is cheap and I plan not to be in the area for a extended period coming up later this year.
Do they not offer a pet deposit, or charge a small fee for having a pet?
You could cover him in toilet paper and say he's a mummy.
In the lease there is a no animal section, so no I can not have any animals. Anyway I wouldnt want a dog in a apartment, it wouldnt be fair to the dog, I would want it where the dog would be able to go into the backyard as it wants, and for the backyard to be decent size. The backyard here is very small, I grew up mainly in two houses, the first one which had a fenced in backyard of a quarter of a acre, and house where my mom currently lives which has a almost a acre of backyard fenced in, not a full acre but something like .91 acres is what the surveyors told my mom when she had the fence put up. So I am used to having dogs with a large backyard.
In the future when I buy a house and not planning on working outside of my area for prolonged time periods then I will be getting a dog.
Golden and Labrador Retrievers are the best.
I like those breeds as well, had a black lab when I was younger and at the old house, one of the types of dogs I had while growing up. One consistency was that my family always liked the larger breeds, while my aunt and her family liked the smaller breeds. Newfoundlands are large dogs, they love the water as well, they will be happy when it gets warmer and they can be taken to the lake that is only 2 miles from the house.
I dislike small dogs.
YAP YAP YAP YAP!
Intelligence wise yes, but you also have to look at what kind of demeanor you're looking for in a dog. I prefer boxers myself because I love a dog that gets up in your face and is always ready to play. I used to have a black lab, and she was the sweetest thing I've ever met, but she got hit so that didn't last too long unfortunately. She also wasn't very good at staying active for long periods of time, even though we played with her everyday, mostly cause she just had a big body. No, she was not fat, just bog bodied.
I don't blame you for not wanting to have a dog in an apartment ndman, at least not the kind of dog you're used to having around. Makes more sense if you want something like a bulldog or some other kind of lap dog. My mom has, I SHIT YOU NOT, a shitpoo. Its a shitzu/poodle mix, but looks nothing like you'd think. He's got a great personality and doesn't care what you do to him, including when my sister plays dress up with him. He's definitely the kinda dog I could see being okay for someone living in an apartment. He's not the kinda dog a man would own living on his own, but the cuteness attracts every woman who turns an eye.
Yes the apartment thing is a large issue but the larger issue is me not being in the area in the future for a projected period of time, I dont want to get a dog and then I go off and work on another continent for several months and end up leaving my dog with my mom. My mom would love another dog for the pack, and while I wouldnt want 2 dogs, having more than 1 dog is good for the dogs in most cases, so the dog would get everyday interaction with my moms dogs.
When I left for BCT between my junior and senior year of highschool I was gone for the whole summer, and that was only 3 months a short time, and when I came back home for my senior year of highschool my dogs were excited to see me, my mom said while I was gone they got depressed. Also they got depressed when I moved out for college after my senior year of highschool, and depressed again when my sister moved out for college after her senior year which was just recently. We still see the dogs but not being there sucks for them on a daily basis.
I don't blame you, especially since you really feel the bond they make with you.
I like German Shepards too.
I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were up for transfer, that sucks. Military, or government branch?
I am no longer in the army or any branch of the military, my 8 year contract ended last year, no reenlistment options because of injuries from deployments.
Got back from last deployment in late October of 2009, was in physical therapy for several months through the VA. I now however have gotten to the point where I am considered good to go by the VA and can apply for work again, or at least the type I want to do. I of course have been working at another job since I got back in late 2009, taking it slow at first, however it has gotten too bland for me, I also invest in the markets and make money that way but its not something I want to do constantly for the rest of my life, even though I can make a good living off of it.
I am more of a adventurous type of person so I have applied for a job that is on another continent and is considered not normal for people, I wish I could of gone down this winter, however VA didnt clear me in time, so I have to wait for next winter, October to be exact.
Not normal? Are you Batman?
No I am not batman, no clue as to why you would ask that silly of a question. But it is not considered normal by any means, few go to the place where I wish to work at next winter. I believe you might know about this, though it was a while ago I believe I mentioned it to you in a private pm.
Well then, I wish you well on your future endeavors, and damn you for having a life that you actually enjoy and can make a living off of. This means nothing to you I'm sure, but thank you for having made the sacrifice you have even if (not saying it was, but it sounds like it) it was merely because it was what interested you.

Oh I get it.
Are you The Penguin (Ya get it?)

hahaha.... stupid batman references.
But yes I believe you are correct.
I really hope that I get to do this opportunity.
I wouldnt say that I joined the army because it merely interested me, I did join in beginning because mainly for the free college ride which I did do as well. But yeah I guess you are partially correct with that statement. When I joined the army I had to take the asvab test, and I tested so high I could of had any job I wanted that was available in the state, my family wanted me to go into finance or supply, however I chose to go into the engineers, specifically the horizontal engineers. I choose them because they were closest to my town, in my town actually, and I could remember driving by and seeing them in their bulldozers/loaders/dumptrucks, and I wanted to do that. And when I finally went to talk with them to join I found out they did much more than just equipment operating. They also worked with explosives, TNT and C4, mines of all sorts anti personel, anti vehicle, anti tank, and since they were a group that went outside the wire when overseas they had to look after themselves most of the time so the unit was equiped with heavy weapons, m240, 50cal, mark19s, so getting a chance to do all that was also what made it worth it. Had I choose a finance unit or a supply unit I would of never of gotten to do such things.
During my final year and half in the guard I did switch over to a supply unit, I had moved and the unit was closer, and since I was nearing the end of my guard committment I switched over to save on gas money and travel time, I was also in college at the time so time was more important to me. And I have to say the supply unit sucked balls, no more explosives, no more heavy equipment, no more heavy weapons, the largest weapon they had were the 249s and there were only like 1 a squad. We just worked in a warehouse categorizing items and sorting them out, putting them into new boxes and shipping them off to other units, it sucked. I mean it was a easy job, and when they go overseas they have little to no chance of going outside the wire so its a safe job so I dont blame anyone that wants to do such a job. Largest vehicle they had was a skytrack which is a large type of forklift for putting crates onto the back of 916 trailer, but even then the transport unit did that most of the time because they wanted it set up how they wanted it on their truck, so little driving time either.
Ugh forgot about the ATs(annual trainings) 2 or 3 week stretches, I did 3 with the engineers, with the engineers we got to do real job site work, and we got to go to interesting places, but with the one AT I did with the supply unit sucked, we just sat in a warehouse doing inventory and shipping the whole two weeks, I asked if they ever got to go off to any interesting places for AT and they said no, they always came to the central warehouse distribution center for their ATs. So I am happy I choose engineers over supply or finance even though my family was against the engineers.
While I did get a little messed up from being over there I believe it was worth it, got to do some interesting things, got my college paid for, get free or next to free medical for the rest of my life, and not just for the injuries I got when I was over there, if anything new comes up or I break a bone or something I can go to the VA hospital and get it taken care of. So in the end it was worth it, I would of liked to of stayed in, and I was a little mad when I couldnt, but looking at it now I dont think I could of done another deployment and not have something else bad happen to my body and those injuries over time start to add up. But in the end it was worth it in my eyes, I got a lot out of it.
Now its time to move on from the army and go civilian style and see what I can get for a adventure, really hoping I get the job this next october that I applied for.
Where would you go to apply for a job like yours anyway?
