Zombie Plan, Long Island NY

Pre Apocalypto:

I Have Purchased a large plot of land in an undisclosed location to retreat and survive during this apocalypse. Here is what it has currently;
+60 acres on a hill.
+Private Lake
+2 Wells
+30 acre wood
+30 acre Fields
+small outer chainlink fence with gate and chain lock
+small house with separate running water and sewer from surrounding houses

My preperations still to be made/ currently undergoing construction;

+Castle with courtyard, (NO JOKE “CASTLE MAGIC” builds em however you want)
+10 ft stone/ concreat wall surrounding whole property
+ Stocks of seeds and canned rations (currently have enough to support 5 people for 20 weeks, aiming for canned rations for 20 people 35 weeks)
+blacksmith shop (I picked up a few sharpening skills in my short time on this planet :P )

That is my 2nd to last destination where I plan to be able to survive and self sustain 20+ people for 2-5 years if needed. (it will be stocked* and ready b4 2012 so I’m good there)

Transportation (original)

Behold! The glorious 97 ford windstar… standard minivan but all new components, the roof is popped up with some basic zombie deterrent material (steel square pipe 2” by 2” welded to the frame chain link over that, chicken wire on the inside [still room to fire guns out] and lastly sheet metal shutters that can be propped up to fire or locked down to become more tank like. All glass is replaced with 2 layers of chain link welded to the frame with plexiglass underneath. The gas tank has been expanded to hold 125 gallons and now replaces the trunk space {ohh darn hah}

*Lets assume for a minute that we know that I know what I’m going to need to bring because I really don’t want to copy my list of stuff from my old notebook.

STEP 1: Oh dear me oh my a zombie outbreak

Riots of growing intensity are going on in the news, the police are pulled from their normal posts to do their job. I grab my prepacked bag, (I will tell you what it consists of only if you ask!)
My family of 5 hops into the minivan and we go a cruising to the local RV dealership down the road from me. From there we either meet my friends who I have told about the plan and have their own supplies and we snag the 4 mobile home/boat combo RVs. If my friends do not show up, tough for them, once in the RV we make a break for the north shore. We will keep off the main roads and I will follow behind the RV with the windstar, when we reach a congested point on the road we will break off and push the beach, there we will transfer the rest of the gas from the windstar to the RV. My fleet** (only if my friends make it in time) will then depart from the north shore and head up the Hudson river towards my estate. Once out of sight of people (or zombies) we will return from the river and continue driving on land towards the estate. Once at the estate we will lock the wall and gates behind us and thoroughly search the area in tight groups ( will be easy if my 20 friends/ families can make it there with their own supplies but otherwise still doable) once the area is secure we will station scouts on the walls. The compound will be able to support us and the 30 acres of trees will dampen any sound we make to other humans or zombies, because of our stock of bladed weapons and blacksmith we will be able to fight when needed. Any firing weapon will be reserved strictly for human vs. raider encounters. The fields will be used for farming and the independent sewer and water will prevent contamination.

Backup plans

Someone is bit/infected!
-mouth bound and hands covered (Hannibal lector type mask and heavy leather gloves). This will allow them to still be useful and fight while they essentially wait to die. They will fight on the front lines because they have already been infected and re-infection doesn’t matter as much. That is their option, their other, is shot on discovery. Everyone will be checked after a battle/ at the end of every day

BREACH!
- retreat to the court yarded castle, pull up the drawbridge, lower the gate, turn the courtyard into another farm, post sentries on towers and observe and stay quiet, if the zombies leave we will retake the compound and rebuild the wall as needed

FOOD!
-well the inevitable is that this area will not support us for more then 5 years tops and eventually we will make our move to a final location( I cant tell you because if you ever get corrupt and try to raid it, I really don’t want to fight for it) but it is a similar situation to my estate but on a larger scale with money pooled from all friends who are participating(200+acres).

RUN AWAY/ transport
- the RV “fleet” will still be active and we will reinforce all windows and other aspects (add firing ports) and essentially make these things moving tanks ( me brother and father can do on our own but with more people it takes less time) from there we stay on the run and pull a resident evil extinction plan untill we reach the final destination previously mentioned.

REBUILDING/ REPOPULATION?
This all depends on the situation and type of zombies faced.

If anyone thinks I'm wierd for having a castle built, think of this. The badass factor of being able to say "Allright folks, im going up to my estate for the weekend, I'll see you in a bit." "Oh, yes it does have a castle" "What? you dont believe me? Come stay a night, it has heating, electrisity and water built into the 5' thick walls. Just be there befor i pull up the drawbridge"

the 97 ford is a cheepass car that im tweakin out cause it is cheep to, its curently undriveable and un registered but by the time this all goes down no one will care about regitration hah. plus it doesnt matter if i take a hacksaw to it LOL. right now i drive a 09 kia spectra and id feel bad tearin into that and its kind of small. castles cost about as much as normal houses depending on where they are built. the site offers them from 600k to several mil. (its not a mil $$ castle ill tell you that hah
