I would get my 5 best friends and my brother. I would gear up with the following weaponry: 1 crossbow with quiver of bolts, 2 Kamas (see link below), I have decided to replace the uruk-hai sword and kunai knives with something a little more useful. Keep in mind that the Kamas and the crossbow I already own and have trained rigorously with. My friends and I have devoted about 4 years to training with our weapons so keep in mind, we are NOT inexperienced with our weapons. I would then get a Hikers backpack and inside the backpack there would be: several hunting knives, first aid, water purifying tablets, flint and matches, water bottles, and a flashlight or two (each person wil be required to carry their own materials). we would then take my car and drive to the forests of Yosemite and live out a nomadic life style, going cross country, hunting our own food, isolating ourselves, making camps in desolate forests (yes, we are capable of doing this, its all part of our current training, we know how to hunt, clean meat, cook meat, what plants are edible) and finally, avoiding ALL urban places and of course killing any and all zombies that stand before us. My main concern for zombie invasions is people who believe they will be able to get their supplies DURING a zombie outbreak, thats why i have acquired most of these things now. If someone in the part is bit they will have 2 options: they can either wait it out and when they die we will shed a tear for them and then smash there head open. Or they can take their favorite weapon(s) and go rush into a crowd of zombies and destroy as many as they can before they are killed and devoured (if explosives are on hand then they can kill as many as they can and then blow themselves up along with all the zombies). So theres MY plan, don't hesitate to comment, I am interested in other peoples opinions and questions.
im curious why you would take a crossbow. It seems a compact rifle would be about the same size, faster reload, more accurate and if you fit a silencer to it will be just as quiet, they are not all that hard to make if you cant find one.
your plan is really good, i too have gone thru training to survive in isolated and desolate places so as long as you really have gone thru the theory, techniques, self motivation and determination scenarios, mental and psychological conditioning and have practiced these methods in real life situations then i say good luck to you and your friends.
and remember to watch for signs of manic behavior, a lot of people start to lose control of themselves once theyve survived like that longer than a month, the fact that the world they once knew is gone, they try and compensate for that fact by staying busy but they start to do tasks without any meaning and usually end up wandering off looking for god knows what, they get tunnel vision, then they become paranoid and start to just run and you never see them again. and it seems like your plan is pretty dependant on having people with you for aid and arms.
