My plan is three-tiered.
STAGE 1
At the first sign of attack i will drill holes in my family's car tailpipe and insert spark plugs connected to the battery (this creates a large flamethrower when the engine is gunned) and park the car out front, manning it the majority of the day, and taking shifts at night, we will establish HQ in a middle room of the house with guns and knives, and stockpile food and water, then, my immediate family and any non-zombie friends that can make it to my house within five days of being notified will steal the school busses in our local area and enough gasoline to last us a few hundred miles. We will bring as much non-perishable food as we can fit on the busses along with tools. We will hitch the busses together and re-enforce the windows and sides with steel plates connected to several car batteries operating on toggle switches, so as to make the busses safe when we are parked. We will allow another three days for outfitting of the busses and packing of weaponry and food. We will take as much razor wire, guns, ammo, and explosive material as we can. Our destination will be the USS Intrepid in New York City, which is, if you didn't know, a large aircraft carrier permanently berthed in the Big Apple. On the journey we will take shifts sleeping and watching for activity, switching on the fog lights mounted on the busses and waking the others on the bus at the first sign of activity. We will also stop occasionally in areas that appear safe to loot hospitals, convenience stores,and doctors offices, or to recruit survivors if we are able to support any more. So ends stage 1.

STAGE 2
After making it to the USS Intrepid, we will take several small, armed parties consisting of volunteers- NO CHILDREN UNDER 13- onto the ship to search for survivors/zombies and kill any undesirables. We will then board the ship and seal off any remnants of access to below deck by covering them in the steel from one of the busses and razor wire. We will slowly cut off the ease of access onto our ship from the mainland until we no longer need to keep watch. We will, however, not stop keeping watch. We will maintain at least two constant watch parties of four men. We will, then begin building permanent, hut-like settlements onboard the ship and start cultivating fruit and vegetable gardens by building mounds of soil enclosed in rock circles, which we will water with our grey water (water that was used to wash hands, dishes, and clothes) which contains no chemicals harmful to the plants. Our feces will be held in a designated area and blended into compost along with any organic waste and used to fertilize the soil. Our black water (water containing urine will be purified. The ammonia will be saved and used to clean/ as a weapon. The purified water will be used in washbasins. My father, a former electrician, will establish circuitry necessary for survival. So ends stage 2.

STAGE 3
After a month of establishing society on the Intrepid, we will slowly begin organizing raids outward from the harbour. We will set up barricades and we will move them outwards daily at high noon, slowly pushing the zombies away and taking in survivors as we grow. We will continually use larger amounts of land to grow crops and build battlements and shelters in case of a breach. A serious victory will come when we are able to secure the New York Public Library. The preservation of knowledge for our posterity is of utmost importance.

FINAL NOTE
Thank you, if any of you out there can make it and are in the New York area, travel to the Intrepid at the middle of the day, three months after the first sign of attack and we will offer shelter.
