plan draft 1Submitted by kli on Thu, 08/26/2010 - 02:16 |
Before i start i would just like to say that this isnt finished. I pretty much just have the basics. Any help would be appreciated.
So here it is. I study the news very carefully. If i see anything about cannibalism or random acts of violence i will convince my family and my gf that we need to evacuate. It should only take about ten minutes to get to the local park where we'll hike up to Castle Craig, an old tower about 917 feet above the ground. We'll have a pack with some food, two gallon watter jugs (carried seperately), a hatchet, a machete, and some seeds. We'll plant a garden so we can eat. Theres a resevoir at the bottom of the mountain so we'll send teams of 3 (there will be 8 of us) to go get water. We'll take shifts using the tower as a lookout for survivors hiking up (zombies wont make it, too steep and rocky). For weapons we'll take long braches and use a techique i used when i was younger to turn them into pikes.
Thats all i have so far. Please tell me what you think and give any advice you have.
what is the pop of your area?, can you see the tower from the ground, is it a popular tourist spot, if yes to one of them i would stay away from them, because if you thought of and going to the tower then others will go to. then the spot would be bad. i would rather go into a remote spot of the park and make camp (given there is thick bush or trees)becouse people will go to sines of humans rather than go/ live in harsh bush/ trees
Details are always important. How far away does everyone you're planning to take live? How much food (and what?) Do you have everything you describe?
Bear in mind that all plants take time to grow, during which you'll either have to hunt (setting traps and snares can be very useful, so learn up before Z-Day) or cut into your limited food stores.
What do you plan to do with any survivors? You can only feed so many, but you can't really turn away valuable help...
Don't base your defences on that 'zombies won't make it' always have a back up plan and something to do in case they do.
