not a bad plan for sight ranked as zombe bait

best way by far would be train.
2-3 locomotives use one until it brakes then use other 2
3-5 fuel cars
11 people cars 3 sleepers one galley 4 shooting/ strongholds 4” armour one command car 3” armour (radio, maps and mission room) other two are metal and wood working room’s( lathes band saws ex.)
2 car carriers
4 shipping container carriers (double stacked and connected though interior stairs[ not freezer and refrigerated containers]) 2 containers are freezer and one refrigerated and other are dry

Weld tight all exterior walk ways and windows with 1/6” thick steel, good for 30 to 50 people. Railways mostly stay away from city’s and rail lines are less likely to be blocked. It’s a mobile compound. Sections you can seal off encase of breach. stop at a military base you could put small cannon turrets and bring strikers/ Bradlees with you.

it would take one month to gather people and get to rail yard ( so your not charged with theft or destruction of property) to build train and armour them with customising cars would take a novice team 3-5 months by then humans win or lose if humanity looses the military bases would have fallen and thus can be scavenged the train would travel 20kmh to stay slow encase on oncoming train can reverse faster and alert other train to stop. Also gather better info on aria and situation of the world thus the perfect zombie plan

Ahoy there. I use to think

Ahoy there.
I use to think about using trains, then I looked into it a bit more, I like your plan, but maybe with these pointers, you can revise it.

1. Train tracks typically avoid major population centers... in the West, here in the East they like to go through them or near them, Detroit, Chicago, Louisville, Atlanta, etc...

2. Most, and I literally mean most, trains in use today are transport trains, (mostly coal) and are not exactly suitable for human transportation. Now Amtrak is the public train system, transporting people all over the place, but their rail lines are not exactly vast and are confined to only a few lines.

3. The rails might not be blocked, but if they are, well, chances are they are blocked by another train... sort of a bitch to move.

Other than a few more minor inconveniences your plan is good. I can't remember, but I think I incorporated rail lines into my plan purely as supplies movement. Keep up the good work.

Your screwed when the train tracks start to rust away and fall apart.

Railway tracks are made from Steel. So if they're not completely submerged for hours at a time, they should be safe for quite a while.

Same reply as I posted when you put this in the forums:

Because you need to keep a train fueled, watered, keep the engine serviced and not many people know how to drive a train.
All I've got off the top of my head. i'd always suggest a stationary plan of any moving fortress.

Oh, and you can't farm if you're shooting down the track.

Also, if it's the ZombPocalyspse, no-one's going to care about theft aside from those directly affected.

And it's not the "perfect zombie plan". Can people stop posting that at the end of their plan?

read all the info

fuel is in the 3-5 train cars of fuel, steam engines need water not diesel electric, farming is when you find a good spot and stop after you go to a military base and get fully equipped. you can learn how to service and drive a train when it takes 3-5 month to build it. and that’s why I got 3 engines or locomotives use one and when it fails then use the second back up of three then 3 of three and all the concerns you posted was awnserd in the post
