This is my plan for survival with a large group of people, my friends, their friends, and etc. Ok, gathering as many of my friends as possible and as much provisions possible, I am gathering everyone onto a large Cargo and Cruise Ship, each filled with alot of supplies and people. There will be guards at the dock to keep infected out. When there is enough people, we will go and gather supplies in groups of ten. I want to make sure everyone is safe and prepared so there will be a schedule for meals that include all the vitamins we need. I will make sure both boats are powered by hydro-electricity and if possible, solar energy.
We will dock to resuply and pick up more survivors, I want to keep as many survivors alive as possible so I will have skilled Doctors and Nurses as well as great chefs.
However, if we suspect a person of being infected we might take them to our Scientist to study the virus for an Antibody to base the cure on, or we will eliminate them on sight.
Also, fighting will not be permitted.
If you are starting a fight you will be left to die.
Another thing is if someone is married/engaged to someone else on board then leave them alone if you have sexual intentions.
You will be left to die if you:
-Purposely Murder a survivor
-Rape someone
-Steal rations.
had the same idea but if you run out of gas your dead bad weather possibly death many different problems dead. I like the moving base idea i started off with boat to but trains would be better because most problems that can kill you on a ship can't kill you on a train. train can kill you by oncoming train, tornado, bad bridge and washed out track needing a bridge. that is all that can stop a train.
Sorry, but it's a bit unlikely.
How do you plan on stealing a cargo/cruise ship? If they're in port when the ZombPocalypse strikes, I imagine their captains will order them to leave ASAP.
If the massive corporations haven't made viable hydro-electric or solar powered boats, how do you expect a rag-tag group of survivors to do it with minimal skills and resources?
How will you keep everyone fed and watered whilst you're on the move?
Great chefs are a luxury. It should be lots of food first, then good food.
"Scientist"? Surely you mean Micro-Biologist if they're studying viruses. And virsuses don't have vaccines. (this is going by Max Brooks, who describes the Solanum Virus).
What if the person fighting/raping/killing is justified (in the killing or fighting), or an important person to the entire ship? Would you abandon the only person skilled in hydroponics?
Everything I can think of atm. Sorry for being negative, it's just my style.
I can understand why you dont see what I see. Your point of view is different. As much as I would love to leave on the captains request, my group and I are commandeering the ship. Oh, and all Viruses have Antibodies, I never really stated Vaccine as in cure, but more like an Anti-Virus. With all due respect, if Solanum was that big of a deal it would have spread by now. I am only worried about the safety of my friends and my fiancee. If all else fails I am joining Gungriffin at Ecretsu.
