My 2nd zombie survival plan.

My second plan:

When i hear of a zombie outbreak, hoepfully i will hear of it early.

Days 0-7: Gather weapons, ammo, supplies, friends, go to location.

Weapons:
- .22 long rifle, big box of bullets
- .22 revolver, same ammo as long rifle
- .243 scoped rifle, couple boxes of bullets
- 308 scoped rifle, couple boxes of bullets
- 30-30 lever action rifle
- 20 Gauge pump shotgun
- hunting knife, 4 in blade
- kitchen knife, 8 in blade
- shovel

Supplies (food, water, hygene, entertainment, ect.) :
- All non-perishable foods in house
- All water bottles, including filled water bottles in house.
- toothbrush, toilet paper, personal hygene stuff
- cd player, ipod, radio, paper/pens ect.

Friends/ family:
- Any friends with guns, call quickly and tell to grab same things listed above, only theirs.

Go to location:
- Pack everything in as few vehicles as possible, proceed to my uncles cabin (up in the hills, mostly out of the way of major civilization, steep drive up to cabin, lots of veiw to observe things river/ pond nearby for fish/water)
- Get to cabin around day 4-5, set up all supplies/positions/defense.

Defense:
- Start digging trench around peremiter of location, (my uncle has a back-hoe at his cabin) 6 ft deep, 2-3 ft wide. barricade front door/windows on first floor. Destroy stirs, put ladder out one window to where vichles are parked, hang keys next to window leading out to trucks, keep 1 week supply in each truck. Have shooters posted at each window (if # of ppl allows) and keep 24/7 watch, trade shifts (if # of ppl allows) If doesnt allow, then keep area where zombies r most likely to come from (road direction) watched always. keep propane tanks on roof for explosion after escaped.

End week 1- week 2: Ration food/water/figure out plan if overrun/out of supplies, start mini farm:
- Plan if overrun: hold location until sure that we cannot hold any longer, proceed down laddder (previously stated) to vehicles. drive to cabins up road, (8 min drive) and set up there if safe.
- Plan if out of supplies: Raid nearby cabins (about 4 or 5 within 10 mins walk, 2 min drive) Start farm for food, (i know its not rapid food, but in the long run it will help) fish, hunt, ect.

Weeks 3+: (By now the outbreak has spread throughout most of the poulation of the country and possibly the world, zombies r getting closer to location, traveling in big packs)
- Keep watch always, if zombie(s) approach location, wait and observe appereance, behavior, see if fall in trench, if it can climb out, if not, forget about it, but glance at it every few mins to see if escaped, if escaped, then wait till as close as possible, and kill. be ready for lots of zombies to come, and hope to survive the attack. if overrun, use escape plan, and do best to lure all zombies in area to location of base, and explode propane tanks, hopefully killing majority of zombies, helping out any surviors nearby. look for surviors, if found, then hopefully they will let us in, and group with them, and survive with them. If we are not let in, then do best to kill survivors and take location from them. If these survivors r smart, they will sense that we r trying to take over them and will kill us, thus, ending my plan. but if they r dumb, which is unlikely, then they will be killed and we have their base, and hopefully more supplies to survive on. If no survivors r found, then proceed up road to less populated area (full on woods) and make base there. and survive until out of supplies, and keep doing this until die of lack of food/ water or find supplies, and repeat and repeat.

Well thats it.. any suggestions on where i couldve done better or any concerns/ questions u have will be appriceated greatly.

Thanks,
Swifty3582

Purple.

Going to location: I'd suggest bringing as many vehicles as possible. If by week three the outbreak has spread across the country, I can assume that the outbreak isn't severe in your area and people are still in a panic, and your still more prone to getting killed by road rage then zombies. If you bring as many vehicles as possible you can use all those parts for virtually anything.

Defense: Depending on how far out of civilization your uncles house is, fending off zombies here may or may not be the best decision. I can guarantee that you can't dig a trench 6 feet deep and 2-3 feet wide. If you think digging is easy, and all you have to deal with is soft earth, its completely different. You have to deal with rocks, roots and tough collections of soil, trust me, I started digging trenches as a home project for a larger driveway, its hell, and this is a 5 inch deep one.

Replacing stairs with ladders: If you are preparing for being overrun by destroying such an integral part of the house, you may be closer to civilization then I thought, in which case ditch that place, if not, read on.

1 week supply in each truck: depending on how many people in your group this may be impossible.

Propane tanks: Mythbusters says that its impossible to make a propane tank explode with conventional rounds. They did it with tracer rounds, and I do believe those are illegal in Washington. If anything, I'd suggest putting all the tanks in the center of your house, opening the valves when you get in trouble, and rig a lighter to stay lit away from the tanks but in the house, when the gas reaches the lighter (hopefully not with you inside) it'll burn down the house and kill the zombies.

Summary: I suggest you find which cabin is the easiest to defend. I suggest you wait at the road that gives you access to the contingent of cabins in your area, and signal the people that will drive by to house themselves in those cabins. Since most likely only people who owns those cabins knows about that area, you won't encounter many individuals. Tell them that sticking together is the best decision, and work together to survive. If you get enough people and weapons, being overrun may not be a problem, and you won't have to work as much setting defenses in your compound since 20 people with weapons can hold down an area, especially a remote area.

Since I don't exactly know your area, I can't give you instructions on how to defend the area properly, and you should go over there during the summer to plan the best course of action.

?

Your fallback plan is to go to your uncles cabin out in the woods?
1. If there is a big forest fire, your screwed.
2. A backhoe is pretty loud, even louder when your using it. Zombies might hear it.
But other than that your plan is pretty good.

Yup, my uncle owns about 50 acres of forrest, when u get off the road, theres a locked gate, then his cabin with a creek running into a river, and a pond about a 10 min walk. My other uncle lives about a 10 min drive up the hill behind/above my uncle #1's cabin, its not as big, but its in better place for a zombie outbreak.

And yah, they might hear it, but i could hit em with the bucket. XD

trench

for the trench put the dirt on the out side. the dirt hill might stop the veicle outside or it goes over and bumper gets dug in, then they are exposed and easy to shoot. not a bad idea though. for diging make it 5 foot deep and 10 foot wide
