King of the Zombie WorldSubmitted by LordJonathanofZ... on Tue, 05/19/2009 - 21:47 |
This is my first and most personally customized plan, so don't expect it to work perfectly for the rest of you out there. It takes place in New York, my current place of residence. Enjoy.
It's a normal Wednesday, I'm in class when suddenly I hear screams coming from the street outside! I look out the window of the school building to find that a horde of zombies is slowly advancing down the street near the entrance to my school. While my classmates stare in horror I slip out the door and down the hall. I run down to where I am keeping my backpack and grab it as quick as possible. I grab the fire extinguisher from off the wall and dash down to ground level. When I get to the main entrance, the zombies have almost made it to the front door, so I grasp the fire extinguisher tightly and prepare to sprint. As fast as I humanly can, I run out the door and down the street, turning left and continuing for three blocks. At this corner, I notice that some of the police officers from the station near my house have begun to fire upon the zombies, and that one has apparently dropped his gun. I grab it as quick as I can and burst into my house. Being the resident expert on zombies, I immediately begin giving my family members basic instructions, such as fill up all the bathtubs for water, go find any kind of blunt object you can, and gather up the pets. My townhouse has a front gate, and a pretty heavy front door, so keeping zombies away from there is no problem, and the only other (possible) entrance is through our exterior back-garden. I say (possible), because the garden is surrounded by a very tall brick wall, so I doubt any zombies are getting in there. Once everything is together, we try to make as little noise as possible and ration our food. It will be a long wait.
I live on Manhattan, which is an island so I know the army will not come to the rescue. Mostly, we will just be playing the waiting game, taking out zombies if they gather in too great numbers near our residence. After about a month or so, when we are sure that there is no rescue, then we will venture outside our house. First, we would clear the section of our street in front of our house from one corner to another, and then, hot-wire some of the cars. We would use the cars to block off the area we had cleared, effectively creating a safe-zone. Then, day by day, we would replicate this process of creating safe zones. Any survivors we met along the way would be offered a choice: Either pledge to join our group, submit to a bite check, and follow my leadership, or, be ousted from the safe zone. Predicting that very few people would choose not to join, our group would quickly grow in number. We would sack any food supply we came across and distribute the food accordingly. Buildings would be marked with a red "X" until the time came to investigate them for zombies. Soon, our safe area will have grown to half the size of Manhattan, until we finally made contact with my friend.
My friend and I previously organized a plan that states we should both set up safe-zones until each of us controls one-half of Manhattan island. When the entire island has been systematically cleared of zombies, my friend and I would divide the spoils. He and his civilization (working title: "Awesumus") would take west Manhattan, and my civilization (working title: "Monolithia") would take the east. I imagine each one of us would have at least 500 people in our groups by then, enough to start a new civilization. Central park would be divided evenly down the middle to be used as farming ground for growing crops. My friend has confessed that his society would be based on that of ancient Rome, while mine would be more modern. Being the leader, I would re-organize the laws and set every person a job. We would maintain warm relations with our neighboring society, and eventually grow to become self-sufficient. In this way, we will have generated a utopian civilization amidst a dying world and will have "won" the zombie apocalypse.
Thank you for bearing with me. This plan is really more of a dream than a sound construction, so don't criticize it too harshly. I apologize to anyone who is not familiar with the area or the ideals in question. I merely hope you got the general idea of what I was trying to get across. Thanks again!

i agree with Blure007. i say this because an Friend is better than a foe, and i just read in ZSG that one of the biggest problems you will have is bandits. in other words the more support you have against them the better.
Why don't you and your friend join forces? I say this because over time there will most likely be territory issues and this will lead to conflict which will eventually turn into war.
Other then that it was a good read
hey ur from manhaten im from jersey right across from staten island
we could regroup i only live 15 miles from there my i would gladly join another civilization
