If you choose to read The Rising, which I insist you do, you will have to read the sequel City of the Dead. Not just because you liked The Rising but because you will pledge to read the sequel because of the cliff hanger from the first one! It was such a good cliff hanger I was laughing because I was so mad! And the ending has a good religious meaning which I thought was good. Preety much both books are about the end of the world. Most people think that there will be a antichrist and the rapture will happen. But these books make zombies in charge of all that stuff. I liked it and you might want to read it.
i thoroughly enjoyed both books aswell, and tried to get into "ghoul" but the concept of ONE zombie felt too much like a typical campy horror film and i put it down nearly instantly. zombies are scary only if theres more than one in my opinion. i got sidetracked into reading a non-zombie related series for a bit (ask if you want details) but aside from that i still have about 20+ other zombie books to read
I need to add both of these to my list. I really need to make more time to read.
so the book is about one zombie being like an anti-christ or what?
Try to give spoilers because I plan on hitting up Barnes and N. to swoop these up today
yeah, its just a general demonlike dead guy trying to kill some kid named timmy. i only read the beginning chapter or so, which was about killing some teenagers having sex.
hell that sounds interesting enough
I gotta check that piece out
i think i might try and read this book
yeah, i own a lot of diff ones, but at the moment my mind is set on one, which is about japanese school children being forced to kill each other for a government program. i like it =]
whats the book called?
Sounds like battle royale
ha, imagine if they made a movie like that, would be crazy
kinda reminds me of that book where the school kids get stuck on the island and go savage, and yes, I feel disgusted I cant think of the name of it lol
Lord of the flies?
Also, the book about the Japanese school kids sounds a little bit like the Visual Novel turned Anime "Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni" Though there is a little bit more of a supernatural element involved there.
yes, its battle royale. there is also an americanized concept of that called "the hunger games". its a series by suzanne collins, but the third book isnt out until august.
PEDOBEAR will rape your souls
Hunger Games, so I guess fat kids are the 1st to go huh lol
its essentially two kids from ages 12-18 are randomly selected (one boy and one girl) from each of twelve districts, then forced to kill each other until one is left alive in one giant arena miles wide.
Fuckin sweet lol
Mike really...
I just bought it, now for the fun part!
starts a LITTLE slow, but is very enthralling as it goes on, same goes for the sequel. I think it's more than worth it
so far, its not that bad, a little slow, but thats to be expected I suppose
