ok i got one for you fill up an oil tanker with water and get a armored vechical of some sort and and take your tanker and your car and your three friend and head out into the desert and survive

Seriously though. You won't have a food source, but that's not all that is wrong, think more.
think more about wat?? u have alot of water enough food for a couple of months and u can see the zombies coming for miles away
Also, the fuel tank would still have fuel residue, ensuring that your water is polluted and deadly to drink.
And: Where would you steal a fuel tanker?
Where would you get enough water at high enough pressure to fill it?
As said previously, how will you get food?
These tankers don't hold infinite water, what's your plan for when it runs out?
Would you have a shelter? Companionship?
I would suggest a milk tanker over an oil tanker, but they both have horrendous fuel capacity and economy. Since petrol stations would be some of the first places hit, you'd have to live within spitting distance of your final destination.
alright smart ass when the first build and oil tanker it doesnt have oil in it so all u have to do is fill it up with water instead of oil as for finding an oil tanker thats not hard shelter is not needed all u need is shade during the day and blankets for the night and food, well i already assumed everyone would be smart enough to bring food and weapons so... anything else??

How about, you're retarded. Take as much water as you like, and as much food as you can carry into the desert.
God luck. I can garauntee you'll need it, iif the food doesn't RUN OUT, the water WILL RUN OUT, if not, your sanity will RUN OUT.
Average fuel truck's capacity (according to wikipedia) tops at about 34,000 litres. You need at least 2.5 litres per day. When you're in the desert you need much, much more just to keep ahead of your perspiration and stop yourself from dying. Apparently you need about 4 litres per day in the desert. (bare minimum!)
34,000/4=8500. That's 8500 days if you're sitting still, on your own. For every other person, divide that out.
But that's if you fill an oil truck BRIM FULL to capacity (where will you get that much water in the first place?), making sure it's completely pure, don't spill any, don't leak any. You still need enough food to compliment that, a proper shelter (else you're exposed to the strong desert wind, raising how much water you need further.
Oh, and I took it you mean Oil Truck, not Oil Tanker. Because no way could you steal, drive and use an Oil tanker.
