It's whatever.Submitted by toothpik013 on Tue, 04/07/2009 - 16:27 |
As soon as I found out that the zombie apocalypse was actually happening, I would get in my car and drive west as fast as possible. This is made easy for me because I drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I don't think I would have any problems in such a fast, agile car. Also, my car is going to be zombie/raider protected. It will have metal bars covering the windows from intruders, a cattle prod welded on the front, cargo rack mounted on top, strong off-road rims and tires, 5 fog lights mounted within the front bumper and a CB radio (The CB is already installed... no joke)
As I was driving, I would listen back and forth between the CB radio and the AM/FM frequencies to help out survivors. At that point, I would form some sort of convoy that would travel the roads non-stop so as to avoid any and all zombies... or have few to deal with in such a barren place.
My ideal convoy consists of 2 scout cars (Two Mitsubishi Eclipse), a larger SUV (Hummer), a tow truck, a bus to carry survivors and a tanker to carry hundreds of gallons of gasoline for whatever trip the convoy is on. The purpose of the 2 scout cars is to speed ahead of the convoy to check out an area ahead to assure no zombies are around. They will be able to quickly get in and out of any situation as they are fast, agile cars. The Hummer on the other hand will be used for simple tasks such as clearing paths on the road, making holes in buildings, and helping pull/flip over fellow convoys cars when they may happen to wreck. The tow truck serves a simple purpose... To tow as many cars back to a "base" to be examined and repaired. The bus would serve as mobile housing for many survivors, it wont be comfortable, but at least they'll be alive. The purpose of the tanker is simply supply gas to any member of the convoy upon request.
Weather this be a zombie apocalypse (such as Resident Evil, Left 4 Dead, etc) or a simple apocalypse of human stupidity (Fallout, and nuclear apocalypse book/movie), my plan is full proof.
