It would be a good idea for multiple colonys of survivors across the nations.
I say this so people will have places to go.More survivors=more possible supplies and help.
UPSIDES-More survivors can mean more fire power or weapons.More supplies and needed equipment.Also you will have new people to talk to.Humans need other human contact to live(unless your a lone wolf then you shouldn't worry about other people).Also,everyone has urges and jerking it just wont cut it for the rest of your lifes.
DOWNSIDE-Yes there is a down side.People fight eachother,they need to be fighting zombies.More food and supplies being used,everyone will have to help scavenge for food.Wich might result in people being removed from the colony from lack of suplies(most likely the useless ones).
If you have ever played fallout 3 you would get a better idea of what ime talking about.The colonys would be like Megaton or Big town.Some place in a large area where is is highly barricaded so outside intruders can't enter without a search and a gun to the head.The colonys would have to be big enough to fit a few hundred people in it.Every one would have to have some part in helping the whole colony survive.The would have to be some sort of democracy in the colonys or it would be like hell in a small box with alot of people in it.Also the colonys would have to be in a place where the weater and outside elements wouldn't effect it as much.Colonys would be essential for all nations and small countrys.In the united states i think there should be AT LEAST 25-35 diffrent colonys.
If you should start your own colony your going to need alot of people to help.And you will need alot of supplies and materials to start off with.Don't try to start your own colony without the folowing...alot of firearms and amunition,food: you whant to have enough food for you and who ever you start your colony with for at least 6 months,a way to baricade the whole entire surronding are of your colony:giant walls,barbed wired tops,a a type of entrance only you an oped from the inside and cannot be easily knocked down.Also it wouldnt hurt if you had watch guards 24/7 and make sure you have them through out your colony and in high enough places you can see the entire colony.
Also colonys need some type of name,nick name,or code name.EXAMPLES:C1,C2,C3,C4,ECT OR L.A,VEGAS,somthing that you can let people know where its at.
This would be a great idea and all of you should keep that in mind.If I made a colony I will post the exact location on this website if the enternet is still up or send radio brodcasts,or just get the word around.
Also,this may seem mean but if you colony is over populated you just might have to kick some people out and leave them with no supplies,hey you gotta live.Also if just you see some random person you may hav to raid them and take all there supplies.
RAIDERS FOR YOUR COLONY-When i say raiders i mean a group of people heavly armed going around abandoned buildings looking for supplies,or going around looking for other survivors and just taking all there stuff(maybe even killing them if neccesary).I know this may seem realy horrible but when your running low or without no supplies you gotta do what you gotta do.
