Phase 1: My plan involves driving down to mountain home air force base. Mountain home air force base is the only base in the history of the United States Air Force to be a multi-command air expeditionary wing. (Fun Fact: I was there when the thunderbird crashed in 2003) What this means is that a little over 10 years ago Mountain Home housed some form of aircraft in every branch of the air force. Bombers, fighters, electronic, and other support aircraft. Many of these facilities still exist and the runways have the length to still handle any heavy bombers and other large aircraft. Support can be flow in, in the form of food, medical, weapons, and other supplies. The location is ideal because it is somewhat isolated and away from the interstate, as well as from the town of mountain home itself. The control tower can be used to spot zombies from a very long range. With the presence of military personnel also brings in the advantage of military equipment. A-10's from gowen field in boise, F-15C Eagles and F-15E strike eagles, and in salt lake, an entire wing of F-16C Fighting Falcons (Beautiful aircraft btw). In Boise is the national guard. Already mentioned the A-10's, but also there are members from every branch of the service stationed there, including air force, marines, army, navy, and I believe coast guard. M1 abrams, older tanks, mobile and towed artillery, suppport vehicles. So navy and coast guard might not mean much now but they do bring in skills that are potentially valuable over an extended period of time. The way I see it, the guard will end up moving out to Mountain Home to reduce the possibility of an infection spreading, and given the proximity to Boise International Airport, I don't want to be anywhere near it. The airlines would just clog up the airspace so it's just better to not be near it.

Ideally I wouldn't need to go anywhere else. The whistle pigs come out in the spring and aren't very hard to get for food. They will get under ground too fast for a zombie to get them. However, they are only out for a limited time of the year, when it starts get warm in the spring, and when it gets hot in late june/early july they go hibernate. Coyotes are out year round. Winter is gonna be the tough part. There should be enough space to immediately begin growing crops to harvest in the fall to help feed everyone. For a while we could harvest outside the base as well, which depends on the location of the infection. As the infection starts to get closer I see us being evacuated out to somewhere else with the military using the artillery and whatnot to prevent any infection getting close.

Phase 2: There's a breach and the infected get inside or the infection begins at a very close location preventing an effective buildup of defences.

Plan a. Arco, ID. This little town, which may not seem like much has two huge things going for it. One. In 1955 it was the first city to be lit up by a nuclear power plant. Two. There's this wonderful company headquartered there called CheyTac. For those who haven't heard of it, they make this fantastic firearm called the m200 intervention. The one from cod. You know, the one that holds the world record for best group at a distance.

Plan b. Haley, ID, there's a small airstrip as well as some gun shops, a gun club, and its proximity to the wilderness for a more reliable food source. Continue north to Stanley. I have been looking on google maps and my idea would to begin a trek to elk lake. Its secluded, not easy to get to.

Plan c. Cascade, ID, I have a cabin and I know of secret fishing spots that i can get to year round. In the winter the lake freezes over so I could hang out there as bait and blow a hole in the ice. Short term solution to a long term problem, I know they'll come back once it thaws out. Hmmm maybe, What's the temperature at 70 feet underwater if the maximum air temperature is about 85. It cools off rapidly when night falls in the summer, sooo they may stay frozen down there forever?. The cabin is equipped to handle the cold with an extra generator.

Plan d. (For fun) My dad flew F-16 for 9 years and I have had the opportunity to play in the simulators multiple times. I know how to operate everything from air-to-air missiles, dumb bombs, mavericks, HARM anti-radar missiles, smart bombs, the gun of course, and other neat weapons. I can turn, work the throttle, radar, and other systems. (Get Falcon 4.0, You never know when you need to take control of a high performance multi-role fighter jet) One little-itty-bitty problem. I don't know how to turn it on. When I played I was already on the runway with the engine started ready to go. So we jack two planes, take off, and bust up as many zombies as we can, while trying to give everyone else a chance to get out. While listening to: I wish I had a gun just like the A-10, by Dos Gringos. (Hilarious, go listen to it. Now)

Plans A, B, C, and D are all dependent on the situation and where the zombies are coming from.
