Perhaps the biggest benefit of being a human during the zombie apocalypse is that we still maintain the ability to think for ourselves and make our own choices. The undead aren't nearly as lucky.

From fortifying a building to escaping an oncoming swarm, the greatest tool a human will ever use against the undead is his brain. Because our brains are capable of creating complicated plans and schemes, we can create traps for zombies that they will not see coming, being that they are narrow minded fools. So with that in mind, I would like to offer you 2 of my latest, and greatest, zombie plans. One for when you are on the run, and one for when you are on the attack.

On the run

When you are trying to escape from an undead swarm, you have 2 facts on your side.
1. The zombies will follow you everywhere you go.
2. You choose where you go.
And with only a little extrapolation, we can create a new fact to your benefit-
3. You choose where the zombies go!

Knowing that you can lead zombies into literally any area means that you have a myriad of traps you can use to kill them. For example, if I get a bunch of zombies following me, I will run inside a building and booby-trap it with any number of explosives in key support areas. Once all of the zombies are in, I run for a back exit. Once outside, I'll detonate the explosives, and the building will collapse on the zombies and kill them all. HOORAY! IMPROVISED ZOMBIE GENOCIDE!
This is just one great example of the traps you can make in a pinch.

On the Attack

I've got lots of attack plans, but this is my favorite, and probably most humorous. I got some of my idea from the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks.

The Plan- (you can do this with as few as 3 people!)

When I am in downtown Houston killing the last of the zombies, one of my techniques I'll use is called "Grand Canyon".
Step 1. A small group of people armed with noisemakers and guns make their way to the roof of a skyscraper. Another group, armed with guns and parachutes, attracts a swarm of zombies.
Step 2. The second group of people run into a skyscraper across the street from the first group's.
Step 3. The second group gets to the roof and waits until all the zombies are on the roof. Once they are, the group jumps off and deploys parachutes.
Step 4. The group on the building across from the zombies starts making a lot of noise, luring the zombies on the other roof towards them.
Step 5. Because the zombies have no brain capacity for thought, they will march toward the other building, right off the edge of the roof, plummeting to their demise. Those that survive the fall will be shot by both groups.
Step 6. Clean up.
