This plan is really quite simple. We all lock ourselves up in the Northern or Southern Pole. The zombies can't survive the cold.

This type of plan takes lots of preparation.

Ok...
You have an idea that lots of people seem to have, but you havent thought it through at all. Think about it! How are you going to get to the north/south pole when all of the traffic is jammed and there is no gasoline? also, how are you planning on getting there without guns? and finally, where do you plan on getting food from up there?
