my plan is after running what i call a 'version test' in which i secure a motorised vehicle, drive into a main road, shout amusing sugestive limericks into the street attracting zombies, then i would identify whether the zombies are fast, ie 28 days later/dawn of the dead(new one) or slow, ie original dawn of the dead, shawn of the dead, ect, once identified i would meet up with my group of 4 freinds who i have made this plan with at the commando station which is accessible by road and train and is about 20 minutes away from my home and either barter weapons from the inhabitants, or simply take them , if the zombies have already worked their magic, and leave, from here my plan splits into two options
if the zombies were fast, we would search for a nissan pathfinder or some other form of dual cab pickup, preferably with a covered back, and travel up to a large food/supplies depo such as bookers, fill the boot, compartments and footwells with food and drink, and take as much fuel as is possible with extra jerry cans strapped to the outsides of the car, a roofbox would be welded to the roof and a hole cut throught the cab ceiling and box floor and a series of storage racks would beinstalled so as no need to stop unneccicarily, we would then travel the country, avoiding crowded towns and cities when possible, and trying to avoid survivors as an extra drain on resources can be fatal, and looking for transport offcountry in the hope that other nations have avoided infection,
if the zombies were slow, we would remain in original vehicles and search for as many survivors as possible, then shuttle the healthy/mature survivors up to the commando station where weapons would be distributed, from there we would find several solid walled cargo trucks and outfit them as massive campervans,generators set up on roof,bunkbeds on walls cooking utensils on each van, with scrap welded around weak points as armor and refridgeration units stolen from supermarkets to store food installed, an additional three of four smaller vans would be fitted with heavy calliber weaponry and a final cargo van would be fitted with massive fuel tanks and would be filled with as much ammunition and fuel as possible, this would aslo have balcony doors on each side so that ammo/fuel could be transfered without stopping the vehicles, this convoy would then travel the motor ways(possibly another vehicle fitted with a ram and 6litre+ engine to move debris from the way)
stopping as little as possible and we would wait out the zombie apocalypse until they died of stravation or simply rotted into nothingness
