My zombie plan is a three part plan including a "bug out" option.

Step one:

Once the zombie apocalypse starts me along with a few friends and family will confine our selves to my house. The house already has bars on all of the lower floor windows and a swinging metal gate that covers the sliding glass door at the rear of the house and a metal front door. The only points that would have to be barricaded are would be the bay window at the front of the house which is only partially covered by bars and the basement door.

While some of us are securing those two entrances the rest of us would be filling as many large containers with water as we can, also once those are full fill up the bath tub and sinks with water. There is no telling how long the water supply will stay on or if it may somehow become contaminated.

We have a cubby under the house that can be used to store food supplies as we begin to prepare.

In defense of the house we would cut a hole in the ceiling of one of the upstairs rooms so we can use the roof for recon and defense while we wait out the panic that will undoubtedly over take the city centres as people jam up the highways trying to escape.

Step Two:

The second step is to make our way after a few days of holding up in the house after the panic dies down and make our way out of the city through the mountains avoiding as much human contact as possible. We would make our way north to Revelstoke BC to the hydro electric dam there and use it as a fortress to live for as long as we need.

During our time there we will acquire food supplies, weapons, fishing and hunting gear, a couple of row boats, snow mobiles, ATV's, bicycles and off road motorbikes.

Step Three (Bug Out Plan)

If it becomes necessary to leave the Dam if it becomes over run by zombies or damaged beyond repair by a marauder attack. The Bug Out we would take ourselves north with what ever supplies and equipment we can carry and find a nice VERY isolated portion of the Yukon.
