Okay, this is a follow-up of my other forum topic. Would you prefer combat or stealth? Let me put it this way: would you sneak up behind a zombie and avoid it, or engage in combat? You might wonder where I get all these Ideas...well, I've been researching on this video game called Siren. In case you haven't known, it's a stealth/survival horror game. You're faced with "zombies" that don't actually "die", and you have to hide in any place you could. The zombies there are smart. (note: they're not zombies. The game states their names as Shibito)
Tell me what you think.
COMBAT
Because it's really hard to be stealthy with a flamethrower.
depends where am i whos with me and do they have good weapons or not?
I say it depends on the weapon, type of your own body built, your speed/stamina, ect.
but i would go with stealth it fits me best
you don't have to be steathly when every things dead or burning. at least thats how i see it.
Combat. im only good with the stealth thing in real life when im with my super hot ghillie suit in the woods which i dont think ill be in to much. (which i lost,). Took me forever to beat MGS4 until i realized im suppose to hide inside the drum can not try to blow up tanks with it.
That's very cool. I think stealth would let you live longer. But combat and stealth go hand-in-hand.
Each one has it's place. I never found it that hard to engage in both at the same time too. One of my favorite paintball tactics is to cover myself in vegetation and ambush people. Another tactic that I have been wanting to try but haven't had the opportunity to is using my entrenching tool to bury myself near the flag. But of course, sometimes you just gotta run in, head on, guns blazing. Unfortunately that approach wouldn't work quite the same on zombies. With humans, you can take advantage of the chaos, surprise and shock; not so with zombies.
I would say that the safest course of action is to engage at a distance. They (in all probability) don't have ranged capabilities, so you should use that to your advantage, if you can keep quiet all the better but always be prepared for full contact combat and always watch your ass.
So true Kuma. So very true. plus its fun to watch as a zombies head blows off
Hit 'em hard.Hit 'em fast.Get in and get out no questions asked.
Bow to-the-fuckin chicka bow wow
Im sorry for the thread-dredging, but, Poseidon?
THAT. WAS. FUCKING. EPIC.
And umm, in reference to this thread, I choose stealth.
Sneaking around is fun, makes ya feel like a ninja :3 and has natural advantages and things.
fuck stelth winchester rifles aint scilent
It depends. Is it one zombie we're talking about, or a whole group? Because one zombie can be taken out with little effort, just a shotgun blast to the face. If there's a whole group, I'd prefer to jusy try to sneak around them.
From all the movies, books, and other various zombie related things in the world I'm pretty sure zombies respond to loud noises such as loud guns. Therefore, Stealth would be a key element to a any survival situation. A UMP 45 w/ a silencer along with a silenced pistol (all of which are within my grasp) as well just being able to be quiet and remain unseen by the zed's seems like the best idea to me.
