As soon as news of a serious zombie threat reaches me I:
1) Add matches, tinned food, kitchen knives, rope, tools and appropriate medicine to already existing survival kit (which contains: Swiss army knife, ordinary knife, binoculars, compass, a few matches, indicator paper, dowel rods- for arrows/ firewood- and a slingshot)
2) Get Blankets and small Tent (both already on my property and get any crop seeds from house.
3) Text my friend and cousin telling them to meet at our agreed rendevous point (our school- its pretty much central) at whatever time as appropriate. Both of them will have prepared in the same way as me except my cousin has a BB gun and I have metal ball-bearings and my friend will get a crowbar for reasons that will be explained later.
4) Get my bike ready and prepare to cycle to school. Give family the opportunity to follow but if they refuse say my goodbyes and split tinned food, then leave before they can stop me.
5) Rendevous at school and once the three of us are together, quickly check D.T. block for useful tools and wood (for barricade), then move on to Food Tech rooms and get any supplies that will keep for a long time. Then move onto sports centre (right next to school) and take energy drinks and packet food from there, then go to library and find any books on survival, farming, etc (NOTE: There is a sainsbury's nearby and I intend to avoid because that's where everyone will go).
6) Once finished head out front entrance of the school, make my way up the road to this path that leads down past playing fields to the river. Once at start of playing fields use various tools to break into this big metal crate that contains javelins (for skewering/ clubbing heads whilst maintaining a safe distance from zombie attackers). Take the javelins and continue down small path to the river.
7) Continue along small paths until we reach the bridge over the river. (This is possibly the most perilous point in our journey because everyone willing to cross the river will attempt to do so here, including zombies) cross the bridge and make our way down the pathway until we reach the Cathedral. (NOTE: this walk takes no time at all.)
8) Attempt to enter the Cathedral (easy if there's no-one in there- unlikely though, if there are people in there then they will most likely be friendly Christians who will try to help their fellow man)
9) Once we are in we sneak off to the top of the tower, barricading doors behind us. Once we get to the top barricade SINGLE ENTRANCE with all our remaining wood from the D.T. rooms and erect the tent.
10) Organise rationing of our food so it lasts as long as possible.
11)Await rescuing (from our very visible-from-helcopter position)- hopefully it will be before step 12.
12) Venture outside and scavenge for survivors and food/supplies (hopefully this will be a few weeks after the initial outbreak and panic), surviving until the spring (hopefully this won't be very long but i'll be really pissed off if it's just started summer)
13) Regain control of entire Cathedral once we have more survivors on our side.
14) Plant crops in the cathedral courtyard using any seeds any brought/found.
15) Attempt to form a self sufficient society, gradually taking in more and more survivors, elect a leader (which definately won't be me!) and implement laws/ law enforcement to stop people taking advantage of the situation.
16) Once Zombie numbers have thinned out I (and i'm sure other people will too) will go back to my house to get closure that my family are dead (or in the slim chance that they survived- return to the cathedral with them and their supplies)
17) Await rescue.
