Me and Jayden, get any weapons close by then go to the nearest car, head to local gun store, fortify, go to supermarket during daylight and stock up on supplies, then take to supplies to fortified gun store.
Get a very powerful truck, and modify with steel rods across windows, fog lights on top, weld spring hinged spikes (Points slightly outwards so infected moves out and off), line truck with razor wire, large steel hub caps(so tyre cant puncture from side)
The Gun store owners will barricade themselves inside and keep the guns all to themselves, but if the owners have left then most likely everybody went there and cleaned it out already.
Everyone will go to the supermarket for the same reason you would, food. A whole bunch of people running around in a supermarket would attract zombies.
EVERYONE will be heading to gun shops. They'll be overrun with people before the first news broadcast about zombies is over.
And people attract zombies, and the people inside the shop, they're hardly going to let you in to steal their belongings.
And people who own gunshops can generally use the guns they own rather proficiently.
The next place EVERYONE will head is the local supermarket to grab as many supplies as they can.
Again, it will probably be empty by the time you've got there.

Most people have some variation of this plan, and it'll never work.
Because everyone's thinking of it, but not acting or planning for it.
Maybe if you pre-stockpiled food and guns or worked in a garage, but as is, you're probably zombie bait.
I can weld, my m8s a mean mecanic, I own a gun, I have shit loads of food, I work next to a scrap metal yard, I ment like a Holden Hilux.
