Bored making a new thread, dont care if there is another similar one.

What are some authors or series of books that you like?

I like Stephen King as a author.

Some of his books that I own are
Carrie
Salem's Lot
The Shining
The Stand
Cujo
It
Dolores Claiborne
The Green Mile
The Regulators
Dreamcatcher
Lisey's Story
Duma Key
Under the Dome

Another book of his I own is "Stephen King Goes to the Movies", these are a collection of short stories of his that were made into movies these stories include
The Shawshank Redemption
1408
Children of the Corn
The Mangler
Hearts in Atlantis

I have more authors and book series but I thought of just putting this one out there first, hopefully others will contribute.

Stephen King is rad.
My favourite of his is The Eyes Of The Dragon.

I like Lovecraft's books; he's my most adored author.
He pretty much redefined the gothic horror genre.
Good bloke.
Fav book of his is At The Mountains Of Madness (GETTING MADE INTO A MOVIE. SO PUMPED. ESPECIALLY 'CAUSE GDT IS DIRECTING IT.).

Second fav. author would have to be Nietzsche. Thus Spake Zarathustra is one of my absolute favourite books.

I like that Edge Chronicles series too, for a bit more lighthearted stuff.
Like, Vox and Clash Of The Sky Galleons and Muddle Earth and all that. It's written for young people but it's a quality read.

I don't read "proper books"
I only really like Tom Clancy, Ian Rankin, Chris Ryan and Andy McNab.

Sir Pratchett's Discworld series. I have sat on his lap.
I'll check out Sean Page's books when my WINnings get here, should be very good.
Douglas Addam's Trilogy of Five + Dirk Gently
Still reading 1984 and looking for Brave New World, but I don't have the money to buy all the books I want, nor the time.
Silly school.

I never said anything about "proper books" or professional or whatever, it can be any type of series of books, it can be any age category of books.

You like Tom Clancy, thats one authors name I recognize, well what books of his have you read or which ones do you own?

Mostly books that became movies.
And most of them after watching the films.
-Executive orders
-Ruthless.com
-The Sum of All Fears
-Patriot games
-The hunt for Red October (after seeing the movie)
And I was going to read Red Storm Rising, but I haven't got round to it yet.
Possibly one or two more.
I don't own any except Patriot games, the rest I borrowed from my Grandad.

Okay next up are authors Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson with there series of books based off of the original Dune series by Brians father Frank Herbert.

I own

House Atreides
House Harkonnen
House Corrino
The Butlerian Jihad
The Machine Crusade
The Battle of Corrin
Hunter of Dune
Sandworms of Dune
Paul of Dune

I need to go out and actually buy the original Dune series though, I rented and read them when I was younger when I had no money to buy books, but since I have money now I should go out and buy them. I mean I have bought all of his kids continuations of the Dune universe, so I should buy his original series.

I liked King Lear the most, followed by Macbeth.
Those are my two favorites of his, what are yours?

+1 for Macbeth.

I like Othello. The story is pretty weak in my opinion but Iago's a pretty awesome character.

Iago was the only good thing about Othello, as Shylock was in the Merchant of Venice.
