Well my opinion the outbreak will occur in a different country so we will have advanced warning in the United States. But my starting gear which is readily available to me is the following :

Please keep in mind my setup is for lightweight and to get the job done in my opinion many people over think this area and will ultimately fail because they are idiots.

1 Combat shovel ( very useful not just for killing zombies) I've seen them go through concrete and steel.
2 9mm handguns
4 9mm clips
1 pistol grip 12 gauge shotgun (8 shells inside) 6 on side
1 box of 12 gauge shells
3 ER bar
1 Pair of good ol' jeans, tight
1 Leather jacket (worn in, tight fit)
my already broken-in hiking boots and a belt.
Winter under-armour and my Whitechapel teeshirt :D fucking better go down in style
A lot of water purification tablets
laxatives

This is my travel gear. I will have 1 side holster and 1 leg holster for handguns and shoulder sling with shotgun. Along with my light-weight small backback, Also im using pistols with silencers unless it gets out of hand I have to use shotgun.

Some gear i would NEVER EVER bring/use during the Z-era:

A chainsaw. Like really? have any of you ever picked up a chainsaw ? most of you would get through the flesh and spend 40 seconds getting the chain out of the skull. Not to mention the zombie slurry in your face. Goodfight infections

Fire. nothing fucks up a barricade like a nice fire. If your going to kill a Z dont try to stirfry thier brains.

Desert Eagle/overkill caliber weapons- Expensive, heavy, noisy, messy, lowclip size, recoil. Sure you can Evaporate thier heads, who is around to praise you?

Serrated blades- Sure you can fuck shit up, good luck getting it out of the skull while the other Z is closing in on you

Un-silenced weapons when you have silenced- more noise= more Z's

Within first day of outbreak I would have to:

Shave my head :( there goes my sex appeal..
Drop a Deuce. better now before you're running with a log in your pants from some Z's
Refuel. I've already got the ammo re-supply, figured thats the first place all the idiots would go.
Try to disconnect from friends/family sorry =/

My main plan is to get to my state jail. It is literally 15 minutes away going the speed limit. Once I get there the one problem I could see is the guards not letting me in. If I could get in I could make it a fortress. 50 ft walls and a reingorced steel gate, sniper towers=win.

Once inside the jail I would kill the inmates, yes kill them all. Most likely through poisoning their food. Sorry inmates, I can't trust you and you eat too much. Another reason I just dont go in there blasting is becasue i dont think many of you like mopping up brains and rotting corpses do you? Didnt think so, A lifeless body is easy to drag away and spray some febreeze.

Once the jail is secured, I would fortify and start watch-rotations the biggest threat right now is other humans, remember the outbreak is still in a foreign country, but will be here soon. people off guard are creating crops and fortifying the jail. The crops are going to be made ontop of jail, later i will explain.

Now some of you might say" why a jail"? well, here is my list:

Jail has guns
It has food
Water
Plumbing/toilets
some area to grow
50ft concrete 3 ft' thick walls
steel reinforced gate
Helipad
Riot gear (bite prevention)
Guards that know how to shoot
Tv,Radio,Computer,books, basketball courts, weights..plenty of things to keep you occupied/inshape

Now some of you say " well humans are going to fuck your fortress up if you dont let them in" blah blah blah, the walls are not the only reason I picked the jail. If the courtyard is breached the group is to fall back into the jail. To be quite honest inside the jail is more safe than outside. It is more reinforced walls/doors and can be on complete lockdown. This is also why I would keep all the supplies inside the jail. This is also why I made a garden on the roof, implying that the courtyard would be overrun.

Now here is some ideal setups for the invasion :

Main fuckshitup setup:
basicly im going to go in looking like a member of SWAT as far as clothing goes.
Everything should be supressed/silenced

1x XM8 Assault rifle as Main weapon
1x KRISS Super V as backup
2x glock g18's with extended clips
1x legit katana, not no flea-market shit
plenty of ammo, slow me down but worth it

This is my "last stand" setup

My weapons will be the following:

1x c4 detonator

well..its pretty self explanitory...run out there like a madman blowing the horn. Waste as many of those fuckers as possible as soon as I run out of ammo, making sure I had at least one left, continue blowing horn running around gathering as many as possible. As soon as I was about to be ripped apart grip the detonator, as im about to blow them all to fuck screm " better dead than red" and detonate, if failure to detonate the bullet I left myself is to be fired into the c4 vest. not cowards way out, all of you who do that are pussies.
