Edit: Since of all the comments I have gotten I have chosen to re-edit it to fit my statis as an adult, and keep those comments coming I want to hopefully make my plan one of the safest if that day were to come.
1. The News flashes on and reports of missing persons and people who had died froma mysterious homocide in which the victim was bitten and mauled by an animal. (class 1 outbreak)
2. Local law enforcement is called in strangly more than one member of the group is armed with a sniper/hunting rifle to deal with an "Unknown Threat."

Local law enforcement are pulled out many have bite marks from what they call a zombie, military personel are called in to take out this threat media coverage is restricted and will be censored to the public for unknown reasons of national security so sit back and watch your tax payers money go to work.

4. The military is beaten there is no hope infection has spread all around the world by infected passangers in boats and planes.

5. News reports name this threat a zombie invasion the goverment can't cover this up too many people already know civilians are banning together to fight back, goverment officals take their families along with soldiers and police to hidden underground bunkers.

~~~MY JOB BEGINS HERE~~~
1. After hearing the news place phase 1 into action.
2. I will set a coarse to my base camp hidden somewhere in the Rockies but first do some recon around my area to plan the most safest coarse to my destination.
3. Grab my premade kit this kit will be my home, medical station, armory, and kitchen this will have enough supplies to get to the mountains and then some.
4. Tell members of my group that it is time to move to the base camp and take there bikes the roads would be jammed with traffic.
5. Once I am at the base camp check every member for bites if a person should have one kill them when they reach the coma phase of infection use a blunt weapon and burn the dead bodies to stop the risk of disease, once the deed is done start constructing a base camp.
6. Once the base camp is made reinforce it make sure the walls are more than 10 feet high or more and have gun slips where my group can fire out of, also I will plant trees around the fort and make it blend in to the natural envirorment.
7. I plan set up sniper platforms in the trees about 100 feet from the camp these men and women will be my warning system and my eyes.
8. Plant crops in the camp and have a water distillery, also set up rain catchers as another source of clean water.
9. Get ways to make and create energy.
10. Form squads and plan a fall out point if the fort should fall from anything from the living dead, raiders, disease, etc.
11. When raiding form a base camp outside of the citythen send in a squad make sure all members stay together if they go off alone they will die.
12. Gather new survivors don't forget to check for bites and scratches and build miniature forts all around the larger ones to help defend.
13. Make sure to have people in your group that knows medicinal plants and someone who knows how to treat injuries (I for one know alot of wild medicinal plants.)
14. Listen to the radio and only listen I don't want my position to be known by raiders and bandits.
15. 10 years have passed radio signals and tv signals are no longer heard the out break has reached level 4 humankind is now an endangered species.
16. send out a scouting party and tell them to return in five years or so.
17. 5 years have passed and the scouts haven't returned they are probibly dead I won't send out another scounting party for another 5 years and get ready to defend the fort a possible scenario that my scouts were captured they will surely have to had told of the camps location to raiders.
18. scouts return and they tell 1 of 3 scenarios
a. pockets of human beings are now rising up and taking back what was once theres.
b. Undead have won wait it out until all of them disintigrate.
c. only a few zombies are alive probibly 1 every 100 square miles.
19. Any of the scenarios my job and my groups job is to survive and to keep my group alive if humans are fighting back help join the fight if only a few zombies are alive form groups to take them out, if the undead have won wait it out and then fight back.

Its interesting to think of solanum as an actual virus but since no zombies have been recorded to date we really have no idea what were up against, so treating the survival guide like its the bible to outlast the outbreak is just ignorant, we should all be thinking about what we would REALLY do in a situation like that and try and ask ourselves "what will go wrong, what about my plan sucks? where will my plan most likely fail? how can i make a backup plan or change my plan to overcome this failure?" only then can we come up with REAL plans.
