Alright, first let me start off by giving some background information so everything in this plan will come together in a much nice fashion.

I live in an area where there are less than 500 people in the entire town. It is surrounded by field and houses that are few and far between. Almost everyone around here hunts, and so most houses have a decent supply of weapons in them. Granted they are mostly long range rifles and shotguns but none the less. My home also has a ton of weapons in it, with a stockpile of about 1k rounds. Now that I got that out of the way on to the zombie plan.

First step: once the outbreak has been verified through local news media or other sources I would set my zombie plan into action. First is to get me and my two neighbors together. We all own pickup trucks and one owns a dump truck. I would also get together any family who are close at hand along with a girlfriend who lives but a few minutes away. From here we would head for about a 15 minute drive to the nearest town where there is a road service agency. They have at least 3 plow trucks used for spreading salt during the winters. I would take two of these. Next I would stop into the local gun shop which is directly across the street. I would already be armed with a few assault rifles and shotguns, but this stop would be to pick up some extra guns, but mostly for get a large supply of ammo. This would then be loaded into the back of one of the trucks. There is a gas station about a half mile down the road from this gun shop so that would be the next stop. Here I would take roughly 10-20 cans of gas and fill them along with the trucks tanks. After this is done I would head to the plaza that is roughly 10 minutes from this location. The plaza contains a Walmart supercenter, a Lowes home improvement store and a other smaller stores such as gamestop and such but these are of little importance. As soon I arrived I would have a perimeter set up around the corners of the building and someone with a spotting scope would be placed on the roof of one of the trucks to provide information on any incoming threats. The plaza is also located on top of a hill that could be easily protected with a few well placed gunner positions. Almost everyone who would be included in this plan has either had a lifetime of hunting experience or military training, so they would be well prepared to handle guns in an effective manner.

Phase 2: Now that we have supplies and have reached the area where it is planned to make camp we would need to clear the buildings. I would have 6 man groups head into both lowes and walmart simultaneously. Each of these would be responsible for clearing the buildings and making sure that everything was clear. Once the buildings were clear I would park the plow and dump trucks infront of the doors to create a temporary barricade. Next would take two by fours from lowes and create a terrace with them to secure the front doors of both buildings. From here I would secure each exit with a temporary structure created from wood. I would then pull in the protective gunner positions and seal the front doors using concrete 1 foot thick poured into the recently created terrace. After this I would work on getting onto the roof of both buildings. From here since they are connected by a roof I would connect the two buildings and the people from each of them. I would slowly work on adding the other small stores into this complex over time but this would come after everything else was in order. Once both buildings were secure with all of the supplies and people inside I would move into the next phase of my survival

Phase 3: This is where long term survival would come into play. The gas that was brought during the intital outbreak would be used to power generators that can be bought inside walmart. These would only be used for the bare necessities and nothing else. The cooking would be done using a charcoal or gas grills which they have along with a very large supply of fuel and charcoal for them. I would first eat anything perishable before moving on to anything non perishable. Since the group would be relatively small <15 ppl the large supply of food would be able to last for a long time. Once this ran out I would use the potting soil along with the fertilizer and everything else that could be found within a lowes to grow crops on the roofs of the buildings. This would come easy to people who grew up in a farming community.

Phase 4: Eventually either the zombies would deteriorate to the point where life would once again be possible. If this was not the case essentially that plaza would become the new world in which we lived and life would continue in the best fashion possible under the circumstances.
