Alaskan WildernessSubmitted by GrifPlan on Fri, 04/16/2010 - 23:32 |
First things first; Grab all my gear. My crowbar, toolbelt, backpack full of canned food stuffs, and my cat. Then I jump into my friend's caravan, where we go to Texas to do multiple things; Pick up survivors, guns, ammo, and my girlfriend. After that, we high-tail it to: Part A) Stay here, reading this. Part B) Skip the first part and move down below.
A) Alaska. We make our way into the cold reaches of Alaska, finding a military base, where we hunker down with all the weapons and freeze-dried food we can eat. The zombies won't be able to survive in the cold, they have no bloodflow! We set to work modifying a rocket to hold passengers, cryo tubes, and other necessities, taking as many survivors as we can up into space. After I set them all into cryo sleep, I program the computer to scan for planets similar enough to Earth that we could survive on it, grow crops, and keep the human race alive. I then set myself to cryo and wait for one thousand standard years, or until the computer finds a compatible planet for us. We will have only aged a few years, and by the time we find a planet livable on, the Earth will be far from us, and whatever virus any of us may have been carrying would have died long ago.
B) We head for the Tranquility Rocket Base in Huntsville, AL. We hunker down, blockading all the doors and windows, protecting ourselves from the zombies outside. We then set to work modifying a rocket to hold passengers, cryo tubes, and other necessities, taking as many survivors as we can up into space. After I set them all into cryo sleep, I program the computer to scan for planets similar enough to Earth that we could survive on it, grow crops, and keep the human race alive. I then set myself to cryo and wait for one thousand standard years, or until the computer finds a compatible planet for us. Please, sir, could you kindly explain to us how you build a make-shift rocket, or cyro-tubes for that matter?
Also, why would your viruses died? Wouldn't they be frozen too?
Are you expecting for several hundred years of scientific discovery whilst cowering in the rocket's shadow?
