Ok, ive read several plans about using home improvement stores as shelters and i like it, but people dont use the store correctly. This is what my plan would be for suriving in a lowes/home depot/ace store.

i used to work at one so it might help me know a little more about how they built the building.

I think if we are to survive this thing, we're going to have to work together. So I've been mulling over the idea to establish safe houses in every major area. If we use this site to communicate, we could put up hundreds of temporary safe houses everywhere. That way, if you are passing through an area, we could inform you to where the next safe house is. So this post serves as a call to arms. If you are interested in helping us accomplish this, please reply and GIVE IDEAS! Our group may be young, but we won't go down without a fight!

So you wake up one day in your suburban neighborhood that's close to the city, but not too close, and there's a zombie invasion.

Here is my plan:
Main target is to get to former school building(lets call it Fortress=)) which is now a "shooting centre", so it is already well-defended + there is a lot of guns and ammo inside. Also, there is a mall in five minutes so supplies are always nearby. Unfortunately we have to run 2km to get there.
Step1. Beginning.
When Zombie Apocalypse starts vital is to quickly gather friends and supplies. Then from safe place(apartment) watch which type of zombies is out there.
