Alright so Im at home and i hear about the spread of the virus. Zombies are beginning to take over and its time for action. I will grab my little brother and the other members of my family that are at the house and willing to go. We fill the car with the large supply of canned goods and other non perishible food items as well as arm ourselves with weapons(we do not have guns but we have baseball bats, axes, and other good hand to hand weapons). I will then go pick up my friend who owns a boat at a nearby dock. We live five minutes from the ocean so its not far.
i live in cathelamet, WA. (AKA puget island). right on the Columbia River
first thing i would have to do when i hear of Z day is get on it. get my truck, get my 9mm beretta and get into town. stop by the store and grab all of canned foods, garden seeds, batterys, lighters, essentials (deo, soap), knifes, gasoline basiclly anything there.

About 10 historical eruptions have been recorded since the late 18th century, the most recent in 1993.

First, I'd like to include some background information as to my location:
1. I live on the outskirts of a rural town right along the Susquehanna river with a population of about 2,500 (Give or take).
2. I have as far as weaponry goes:
a. 3 Shotguns (two 12 gauges, one 10 gauge)
b. 3 rifles (1 is a single shot bolt action rifle, two hunting rifles clip-fed and scoped, and one other rifle [Unknown make, never before used])
c. 2 Pistols (One is a 6 shot .357 magnum, and the other pistol I believe is some form of standard 9mm, unknown)

Simply put, I'd get a hold of an aircraft carrier or the biggest boat that can be found that I think can be figured out.
Bring some lemon trees and tomato plants in case the zombie infection spreads to the fish. Fishing poles, and harpoons of course.
If I can snag a military ship it would be ideal to be able to arm it of course.
Basic weapons like baseball bats and semi auto pistols and rifles of course for defensive purposes.
Then float around the ocean for some time, because eventually the zombies will run out of food and starve to death.
An aircraft carrier would be ideal because:
At the time of initial zombie attack, conventional communication (primarily the Internet, but also phones (mobile and landlines)) will still be active. I will attempt to use this to assemble a medium sized group 10-20 of my friends and relatives and anyone else who's prepared to listen and can offer anything (-obviously no-one would be turned away if possible), and used to co-ordinate everyone into a single group. This group will be used to gather resources and materials necesarry for survival- mainly seeds, wood, metal poles and building supplies.
At the time of initial zombie attack, conventional communication will still be active. Use this to assemble a medium sized group (20+), and use to co-ordinate everyone. Take group to civilian marina, steal enough boats, fuel, supplies etc (some will have been pre-stockpiled) to make journey to Takutea [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takutea].

I'm most likely to be in my home when I hear of a zombie outbreak, which is about 20 miles from the coast, in a village on the outskirts of a big city.
Zombies will obviously go for the largest density of people, e.g. the city centre, the mall, supermarkets, so I certainly won't attempt to raid any of these. Hopefully, I will be able to track the zombies' progress towards my cul-de-sac using the TV or internet.
