When/if the outbreak happens in my lifetime, ill be prepared. I've already secured some of the essentials, a few Katana swords as guns would attract to mucg Unwanted attention, and even a few cases of water and non perishable, canned foods.
I live in a small town so there won't be that many zombies around when the Panic finally hits our town.

I plan to take me and my 4 best friends to a local sporting goods store, where they sell hunting supplies, survival gear, and dirt bikes. There is a grocery store down the road so we could raid that for non perishable foods.

THIS FIRST BIT IS ONLY FOR FINDING OUT AND DOS'NT APPLY IF ITS ON EVERY NEWS SHOW AND A EMERGENCY BROADCAST.
Ok, First thing I do when I wake up every morning is walk to school. If someone looks like a zombie Ill keep walking and ask everyone I see if they had seen zombies as well. When I've got the info I'll run back to my house and get these thing.
Proper plan
I'll need lots of clothes, (not so sure about food), my family, other family if possible, laptop (to keep sane and check for survivors on the interwebz)
WEAPONS
fort stevens is approxamatly 1 1/2 hours away from my house. its on the north west corner of oregon on a tiny penninsula. there is 2 forts there. fort stevens and fort battery russel which is small but would make a nice out post and fallout area. any way. i would bring only a select group of people with me. step brothers matt and sparkey, buds travis, darren, chester, carson, seth, nater tater, andy, tj, i would take nathan and hunter but nathan never shares his lunch with me.

this is just one of several zombie plans that i have created.
there are several factors you must put into consideration when making a zombie plan. First, think about how you will survive. are you going to be on the hunt for zombies? or are you trying to survive? if you are going to quickly run for the best shelter you can, pack SURVIVAL items!!! which would be mostly food, comfort items, water... stuff like that and maybe a few guns or other weapons. and remember, whenever you shoot a gun, it will attract zombie attention... and thats bad.... here we go
One of the most obvious facts related to any natural disaster is that people will die. This is sad, but true. When considering the possibility of a "Zombie Apocalypse", you really don't have to think hard to realize that lots of people are going to die. But being the sick opportunist that I am, I have found a way to make good out of so much bad. Lets think... Where do people live? Houses. What happens to the houses when nobody owns them anymore? Well...
Ok, lets assume my short term plan (keeping a low profile on a boat while the hordes wander off) works out, now i need to set in for the long haul, long term survival.
The great advantage we as living humans will have over zombies is the aility to use our minds, we have the ability to rationalize and make decisions, they do not.
So first things first, i will need to do some scouting, see where i can get to in a short amount of time while not being detected. As long as i can get a spot where i will have the higher ground advantage, i can improvise from there.
Much, much more detail later. In short, get a small apartment or office buildings, yes, the whole thing. Preferably one with an adjacent parking lot. Parking lot and perimiter enclsoed by a cinder block, concrete and rebar wall. Floors converted to agriculture, armory, hospital, brig, shooting range, storage, etc. Solar panels will be fixed to anywhere and verywhere outside. Redundant gate systems on all entrances/exits. Standardized offensive and defensive kits created.
